Universal Pictures hsve released a new short trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman on the film’s facebook page. Meh, after being dragged to (and the general rubbishness of) Red Riding Hood, I can’t say I’m too excited about these new darker re-imaginings of fairy tales but it does look like it could have some good action and I do have a soft spot for Kristen Stewart so we’ll see.
Here’s a synopsis:
In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.
The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth (Alice in Wonderland), producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense).
Check out the trailer below: (Though I do think it’s amusing that the mirror’s saying Snow White will surpass her in beauty, like there’s an age limit she has to hit before she can be fancied. Maybe Snow White’s like the Olsen Twins of fairy tales?)
